Projet Faena Prize
Within the framework of the call for Faena Art center i present the project of installation SYS.
The goal it was to summon multidisciplinary artists from across the world to imagine site-sensitive works, works that dialogue not only with the monumental architecture of the building but also with the cultural and urban conditions of our immediate surroundings. In this edition of the prize the Faena Art Center institutional mission is to explore time itself as a working material.

SYS - See Your Self - Conceptual memory
Currently we live through images. We are all producers and receptors. Images not only pierce us, but invade, define and transform us, as well as they transform reality. In that process of social, cultural and paradigmatic change that the digital era suggests, photography plays a prevailing role in the creation of identity, in the reconfiguration of social nets and in the definition of our public and private being.
See yourself will be a multimedia setting that shows the immediacy, fugacity and transitoriness of the images of our time, it will be a place of exploration and participation that will unite art, philosophy and social behavior. Time will be our lead actor.
They will enter a space of apparent chaos where they will walk exploring the exhibit by a labyrinth formed by curtains of great height. These will be printed with my self-portraits and will have different textures: transparent, semitransparent, dull and blackout. Some of them will be cut in stripes and hung so visitors will have to get through them to continue.
Meanwhile, there will be an option of taking a selfie with a set camera prepared just for that. Selfies appropriated by the artist and some of them intervened will be exhibited on screens and projectors installed in the room, making them feel part of the show and becoming leading actors. Images of the visitors will be shown randomly though the screens and after a while they will elope to leave room for others. Also, they will be sent to each one by Facebook.
In another room visitors will find 400 mock ups of cell phones of different sizes that will be making the characteristic sound while shooting flashes randomly creating an over whelming and chaotic environment.
The next area will be filled with my printed images. Roofs, floors and walls covered by them showing the great multiplicity that the digital world proposes.
The twelve picture windows of the Molinos lounge will be covered entirely by fabric printed with images that will emphasis its greatness and will complete the space.
