Ennéads
Concept an photographic language
This photographic series called "Enéadas" was done with a direct shot.
They are self-portraits taken with a camera assembled in a tripod and photograms are shot by remote control. For lightning I used an illumination device called Zoomligth not connected to the camera, in combination with a flash and an additional continuing light source.
The total production was six series of nine photographs each and the name ¨ Enéadas” is referred to the 54 treaty of Plotino (Greek philosopher 208-270)
The work tries to show the imperfection. Today when esthetic and beauty are exacerbating among all things, these saturated images, out of focus, over exposed are a contrast with traditional photography in which a portraits seeks for perfection technically and esthetically.
This work also gets closer to the Theory of Ideas of Platon (Greek Philosopher427-347 bc) that says that all entities of the sensible world are imperfect and deficient and that other entities that participate are perfect and self-sufficient( Ideas) of ontological character very superior that are not perceptive by senses.
