BIO
I was born on December 23rd of 1955 in Buenos Aires. My first memories related with photographs appear when I was 7 or 8 years old with my uncle Joseph, with an old Kodak camera in the 40´s. We would take pictures of the family life. Those experiences led to a latent passion that later on became my life.
When I was thirteen I received my first Halina Roy camera. I took my first steps and discoveries in the world of photography. Later on in my adolescence around 1978, I received the first “real photographic camera” a Reflex Asahi Pentax K1000 and along with it my first outings. Also I made videos with a Super 8 camera. They were mainly homemade videos but back then it was quite a challenge and a wonderful experience. With the cameras by my side, photography accompanied me on the best moments of my life and besides documenting family life I also portrayed landscapes, cities, people, sunsets, etc.
In time it stopped being a hobby and it became something more. Since 2002 I took several courses in Fotoclub Bs. As. And other institutions (lighting, portrait and nude, zonal system). Also courses of advanced Photoshop.
Since 2011 I take photographic classes with Eduardo del Burgo.
My firs exhibit was called “Desensilla”. Photographic series that was displayed in the “Central Newbery” gallery in Bs As, and also in the “Maison de Haubans”, Nantes – France.
I did clinical plays with Fabiana Barreda in which ended in an Open Studio curated by her. I also participated in a workshop called “projects and professional development” with Lucia Warck-Meister.
Currently I experiment with my body, photographing it. I work with the direct shot mode, without any editing. Working with different materials and with my own photographic devices.
